Stuck in the 1800's?

So recently dances have been brought up with me. I just recently went to a ball, prom is coming up and there is also something called a "blackout dance" that I have been asked as to whether or not I was going. I was just wondering why so many people enjoy dancing the way I know they will be dancing. The entire theme of the blackout dance and prom will be sexual and girls will try to reveal themselves in any way possible. Many girls will lose their virginity on prom night, and I am wondering why no one is different. It seems that I am the only person in the world who thinks differently and refuses to dance in such a way. At the ball I went to the most provocative dance we did was the tango. At the ball, I danced the tango, charleston, waltz, virginia reel, levi jackson and even did some swing dancing. There was no inappropriate dancing and even though I would have called some of the dress choices that the other girls made slightly inappropriate, there wasn't anything like this there. The most revealing thing there was probably a strapless green dress, but it was still quite beautiful on the young lady wearing it, and it covered all of her chest up to the breast line. In no way am I as extreme as this but I find this quite tasteful while still being modest. The worst part about this is that I am a Christian and I have many Christian friends, but they dress just like any other common everyday slu.... err... teenage girl. Last I heard, we are SUPPOSED to be different from everyone else, not blend in! Sure, I wear short-shorts. AS NIGHTCLOTHES. I live in Texas, it gets hot at night. I don't wear those shorts ANYWHERE else. So why girls are so bent on showing off as much skin as possible? Because they want everything NOW, especially that one boy that they just met yesterday but they're already in love with and he just might be "the one".
Now, to my "Christian" friends: If you're going to act like the world, then fine, but leave me out of it. I'm not going anywhere near blackout dances or clubs, and when you say you want tattoos, fine. I'm just not going to have anything to do with you. I do not appreciate nor do I condone the attitudes that you ladies and men are exhibiting.
